Safety at Synastry

Practical guidance for safer conversations, first meetings, blocking, and reporting.

In immediate danger?

Contact local emergency services. Synastry is not an emergency service and cannot provide real-time intervention.

Before you meet

  • Keep early conversations in Synastry until you feel comfortable.
  • Never send money, financial credentials, one-time codes, or identity documents.
  • Be cautious when someone pressures you to move off-platform, keep secrets, or act urgently.
  • Use video or voice conversation if it helps you confirm that a profile is genuine.

Meeting in person

  • Choose a populated public place and arrange your own transportation.
  • Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to return.
  • Keep your phone charged and avoid leaving food or drinks unattended.
  • You can leave at any time. You never owe someone attention, touch, or an explanation.

Consent and boundaries

Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and reversible. A match, compatibility score, message, or previous date is never consent. Respect a “no,” a pause, and a change of mind.

Block and report

Open a member’s connection profile and choose Safety options. Blocking immediately removes the connection and prevents messaging. Reporting records the reason and optional details for operator review; you can also block in the same action.

Report suspected minors, threats, harassment, scams, impersonation, hateful conduct, sexually explicit material, or any behavior that makes the community less safe.
